7050 T6 Aluminum plate is a high-strength heat-treatable alloy with extremely high strength and resistance to exfoliation corrosion and stress corrosion cracking . The main alloying element is zinc. Adding magnesium to an alloy containing 3%-75% zinc can form MgZn2 with a significant strengthening effect, making the heat treatment effect of the alloy far better than that of the aluminum-zinc binary alloy. Increase the zinc-magnesium in the alloy content, the tensile hardness will be further improved, and its resistance to stress corrosion and exfoliation corrosion will increase accordingly. After heat treatment, it can achieve very high strength characteristics. Generally, a small amount of copper, chromium and other alloys are added to this series of materials .This alloy has good mechanical properties and anodic reaction.
Mainly used in aerospace, mold processing, mechanical equipment, fixtures, especially for aircraft manufacturing structures and other high-stress structures that require high strength and strong corrosion resistance.
